M/V Prince of Wales (Ship to Coffman)
|
Guests coming to Coffman Cove Adventures for a trip can get here in a few ways. Commercial air carrier Alaska Airlines serves the cities of Ketchikan and Wrangell through it’s hub in Seattle. All folks visiting must either fly into these two communities or come on the Alaska Marine Highway.
Ketchikan and Wrangell have ferry service through the Inter Island Ferry system that runs throughout the year to Prince of Wales Island. The Ketchikan ferry runs to Hollis (2 hours from Coffman Cove) and the Wrangell ferry runs right to Coffman Cove. In the early spring or fall, only Ketchikan has a ferry running to the island so you should make your reservations to Ketchikan. If you’re coming in the summer June 1 through September 1, we recommend you fly into Wrangell and take the northern ferry route. This will allow you to do some fishing on your first day. We will help you determine the best ferry route and schedule it for you. Either way you choose we will pick you up from the ferry in Hollis or Coffman.

Float plane – float plane is another option to get to Coffman Cove. Although Coffman Cove Adventures does not provide float plane service, some guests choose this mode of transportation in order to get to Coffman quicker or just for the flight seeing opportunities. We can help schedule this for you if you choose this route.
