Deer hunting is a favorite activity of most Americans and we are no exception. Deer season is our favorite season at Coffman Cove Adventures and it usually proves to be a great time year after year. For you first time Alaska deer hunters, one of the best things about hunting with Coffman Cove Adventures is having a hot shower, good meal and a warm place to relax after the days hunt. Deer hunting on POW is fantastic with each person allowed to harvest 4 bucks per year. The North end of POW is known as THE deer hotspot and we are located in the heart of some of the best country on the island. Hunting is done in clear-cuts and along logging roads looking for deer on the move. Still hunting the deep timber is also a good method for hunting deer and is the preferred method for a lot of POW regulars. These deer respond well to calls and can be called in during the rut from late October through November. December is a good time to hunt as well when the snows begin to push the deer from the mountains to the lower elevations. A vehicle will be needed for hunting and we will help arrange rentals for your party. Each group will have private living quarters with full access to the amenities of the main lodge.
